Our Staff & Board
Born and raised in Alaska Anitra grew up in the interior dog mushing and learning to snowboard by getting towed behind snow machines. After high school Anitra attended University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau and has a BLA in outdoor education.
After college Anitra moved to south central and has been teaching at AAS since 2017. In addition to teaching for AAS Anitra has been an adjunct instructor for the Alaska Pacific University’s outdoor program and most recently a forecaster for Hatcher Pass.
Anitra has a commercial fishing business in Kodiak and spends about half the year commercial fishing and the other half enjoying winter. She is WFR and Avalanche Pro 2 certified.
