This hybrid format recertification course blends online learning with scenarios and skills emphasizing decision-making and curriculum updates.

Hands-on, meet online. Enjoy this blended format WFR Recertification, which includes an online component in addition to the traditional scenarios and skills! Pre-work allows you to review the curriculum at your own pace, and focus on the hands-on element during your two days on course. You’ll just need to complete all online components, including a written exam, prior to the course. You’ll learn both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather, so come prepared for wet, muddy, cold or hot environments!

To be eligible for recertification you must possess a current (unexpired) WFR certification from a provider whose WFR course is a minimum of 70 hours. NOLS Wilderness Medicine does not recognize certifications from entirely online training.
