Alaska Avalanche School is partnering with Alaska Surf Guides to offer a 5-day Level 1 course March 23-27, 2024. Space is limited. The 6-day Level 2 expedition running in parallel is now full.

This boat based expedition will travel on the M/V Milo from Seward into Resurrection Bay to Aialik Bay, NW Lagoon and possibly Montague Island in Prince William Sound. Can you imagine having the fjords of this national park to yourselves- you will! Maybe except for the resident seals, otters, sea lions, and whales.

All students and staff will live aboard one of two ships on this all-inclusive trip where all meals and field transportation is included. You and your instructor will cover an A3 certified curriculum and additionally address topics such as expedition planning, traveling in unforecasted avalanche terrain, and have extensive practical work in remote ski tour planning. Each evening students will work with your instructors and boat captains on the next day’s trip plan using field observations and map skills.

This rigorous course is designed for experienced skiers and splitboarders with solid travel skills.
