Rob grew up in upstate NY where he started his life on snow as a freestyle skier at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid. Following earning a bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Rob accomplished a 23-year career as a Firefighter / Paramedic of which he also worked seasonally as a mountain guide in Alaska since 1997. A member of the search and rescue team locally known as “the PJ’s”, he works as a survival specialist and travels the world enabling select military operators to work in austere environments. In addition to his love of the mountains, Rob is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health and enjoys flying airplanes.
