Rachel Sullivan

Rachel moved to Alaska in 2021 to pursue her love of snow and ice. She currently works as a mountain guide for the Sheldon Chalet and as an instructor for ice climbing, glacier travel, and avalanche courses. She spends her summers guiding remote backpacking and kayaking trips and working as a backcountry park ranger for national parks across the state. She holds Avalanche Pro 1 and WFR certifications with training in search and rescue, winter weather forecasting, and rope rescue. In her free time, Rachel loves balancing on delicate water ice, backcountry skiing, and baking.
