Our Staff & Board
Rachel was born and raised in the southern U.S. and discovered her love for rock climbing early on. Her journey took her across the country and abroad before she settled in Alaska, where she pursued mountain sports, skiing, and her career.
Rachel holds a Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education and Business Management, along with a Master's in Business Administration. Her background in healthcare administration and a passion for adventure make her a perfect fit for our avalanche school.
Rachel is now a dedicated backcountry and downhill skier, ultra-distance bikepacker, and advocate for cycling infrastructure in Anchorage. When she's not on the slopes or trails, she works as a photographer for personal projects as well as organizations including bike manufacturers, Alyeska Resort, and Hilltop Ski Area.
Her primary goal at our school is to ensure that everyone who desires avalanche education can access it. With her diverse skill set and commitment to education and adventure, Rachel is looking forward to enhancing the school's operations and impact.
