This intensive course is designed for leaders in the avalanche industry. Advanced topics are taught and tested including: mapping avalanche terrain, forecasting avalanche hazard and risk, identifying best practices for workers in avalanche terrain, implementing mitigation strategies for large and small team operations, and preparing technical professional reports for external review.
Pre-requisites: Pro 1 certificate, Avalanche Rescue, and 40+ days of operational experience over 2 or more seasons.

Hatcher Pass Avalanche Center (HPAC) is excited to offer eight scholarship opportunities for avalanche education programs. Applicants must be AK/Valley residents. Each scholarship will provide up $250 toward tuition for a recreational avalanche course.
