Tully grew up in Fairbanks and went to college in Vermont before returning to Anchorage for a job. After a decade of engineering work and avidly sliding on snow in his free time, he now chases snow and avalanches full time as a ski patroller at Alyeska Resort. The skiing community is a central part of Tully’s life in Anchorage, he even met his wife Kati on the dance floor of the ‘Snow Ball’ fundraiser for the Avalanche School. He completed his Pro 1 certification with the Alaska Avalanche School in 2019 and is excited to bring things full circle and help folks in the community with their snow knowledge journeys. Other certifications held include OEC and WFR.
