Taylor first learned to ski on icy groomers in the Appalachian Mountains, but she truly fell in love with winter after moving to Alaska over a decade ago. She has worked as a ski patroller, park ranger, mountain guide, and instructor, and serves on the board for Denali Rescue Volunteers. When she's not helping others safely explore the mountains, she enjoys putting in the skin track right out her front door in Cantwell, Alaska. Yeah the Chugach is great, but have you tried powder hunting at 30 below in December in the Alaska Range yet??Taylor has her Avalanche Pro 1 certification and looks forward to advancing her avalanche education alongside the students of AAS.
