Hazel Blum grew up skiing with her family in New England and Michigan. Between undergrad and law school she lived, worked, and played in Alta, Utah for two seasons. In 2016, Hazel graduated from law school and moved to Alaska to start her legal career in a locale adjacent to the outdoors. In December 2016, she took her Level 1 course with the Alaska Avalanche School. Since then, Hazel can often be found on weekend days either backcountry or “resort” (Arctic Valley!) skiing in the Anchorage area.
