Our Staff & Board
Emily Sullivan joined the AAS Board in 2019. A city-kid-turned-adventurer, she has spent the past decade seeking new experiences in the mountains surrounding Missoula, Montana and Denali National Park, Alaska. Upon moving full-time to Anchorage, she took her Rec Level 2 with AAS and subsequently joined the board. Emily enjoys big days touring in the backcountry and expeditions in big mountains, and she strives to carefully study and understand snow conditions and human factors while exploring on snow. A passionate advocate for wild spaces, her writing and photography have been featured by a number of outdoor brands. Emily is an enthusiastic Randonée racer and is excited to bring her experience to the AAS Skimo Race planning committee.
