Alaska Avalanche School is partnering with Alaska Huts to offer a unique Level 1 avalanche course in Summit Pass. You’ll cover an A3-certified Recreational Level 1 curriculum in an intimate wilderness setting, sharing the beautiful historic Manitoba Cabin with other students and instructors.
The classroom portion of the course will take place in the Manitoba Cabin located at Milepost 48 of the Seward Highway. Field portions of this course will be at a location that is selected each morning in that area.
Lodging at the Manitoba hut is included for the nights of Dec 11, 12 and 13. The course starts at 9am sharp, Dec 12. Food is not included, please bring enough food for 3 full days including lunches in the field. For more information on the amenities of the property, click here.
