Recreational / Avalanche Fundamentals / Hatcher Pass / Feb 4, 2023

Any individual who travels in snowy mountainous terrain should take this course. This hands-on clinic is designed for skiers, snowboarders, snowmachiners*, snowshoers, hikers, drivers, hunters, snow bikers, dog-walkers and more! This one-day course (8 hours of instruction, combination online pre-course work and field time) focuses on how to avoid getting caught in an avalanche.

The Avalanche Fundamentals is designed for those curious about avalanche avoidance who have not yet had much experience traveling in the backcountry or for those with tight time and budget constraints.

This is a great first step before a Level 1.
